Named after Trinidad's national bird, Jabloteh started as a semi-professional outfit with the goal of uplifting the socio-economic and moral condition of the nation's youth. Jabloteh evolved into a professional club in 1996, becoming one of the Trinidad professional league's founding members. T&T internationals such as Marvin Andrews, Collin Samuel and Ansil Elcock are among the most familiar names to have played with the side in its short history. In last year's CONCACAF Champions League, Jabloteh defeated San Francisco of Panama in the Preliminary Round but lost all six Group Stage matches. The steady hands of experienced goalkeeper and team captain Cleon John anchor the team's defense while Jabloteh also has strikers Cyrano Glen and Jason Marcano. Manager Earl John can also has 21-year-old Lester Peltier, who has had trials with Belgium's Club Brugge and Arsenal in the English Premier League.
